This is a perfect time to mix a social activity with business. Yes, there is Saturn, Pluto and Mars to deal with and the Sun/Venus/Neptune/Chiron can bring magical ways of doing business if we just listen to our inner voice. Don’t let the heavy energies of Mars, Saturn and Pluto keep you from expressing your creative ideas.
Sun in Aquarius, Moon in Capricorn
February 9, 2010 by junetheastrologerNeptune in Aquarius = Trust
February 8, 2010 by junetheastrologer
This is a day to trust and to take a chance. The Fool Card (also known as the Christ Card) signifies a person getting ready to, seemingly, step off into the abyss. This is a card of trust and it signifies even though the way ahead is not clear, to continue on with the belief that you are heading in the right direction, that there will be ground under your feet. That is Neptune. The trust, the absolute belief that you will be safe is Neptue in Aquarius. At the same time, that belief is a sort of craziness which is Aquarius.
This is all going on with the continuing aspect to Venus. Relationships can be interesting, weird, wonderful, intellectually stimulating even comical. The nature of this Fixed Air combination can even make some people contrary just for the heck of it. There’s no pushing the Aquarius energy. The more you push, the more it will push back. Allow the energy to bring what it will in the romance department.
The Moon will be transiting to Capricorn later today and there just might be a smidgen of reason added to the Venus/Neptune aspect.
The New Moon in Aquarius will be here soon enough and we’ll all feel a little haywire at that time.
Valentine’s Day
February 6, 2010 by junetheastrologerToday is, Astrologically, Valentine’s Day.
With the Sun, Venus and Neptune in aspect of each other (although the Sun is a little wide).
The Moon will soon be in Sagittarius and that will make this a good evening to go out with your sweetheart to dinner, movies, plays, musical venues and parties.
The Venus/Neptune aspect will give the evening a beautiful romantic glow.
This is a good day to enjoy yourself, laze about and day dream.
Exciting things to do and create can come out of the day dreaming.
It’s a good day to talk, especially philosophical conversations, and to laugh heartily!
Sun & Moon Locked in Battle – Weekend Through the Signs
February 5, 2010 by junetheastrologerThe Sun’s in Aquarius and the Moon is in Scorpio squared. Who’s going to win the battle: reason or emotion? And a mighty battle it is because neither sign gives an inch. If these two signs would just take a step back, and a breath, they would be able to see how to help each other.
The Aquarius Sun can be reasonable and show the Scorpio Moon how to rise from the scorpion to the phoenix. Unfortunately, if the Scorpio Moon is on it’s own ego trip, it’s more likely to wallow. The Aquarius Sun, too, can be cold and arrogant, thinking it knows just about everything that has been discovered and waiting to be discovered, and also contrary by just letting the Scorpio Moon wallow. We’ll let these two battle it out for today.
The rest of us have our own stuff to worry about. Jupiter is in an aspect to Saturn that can be too optimistic for rational Saturn to grasp. It’s better to talk about energies than to do anything. A good conversation can be just as good as acting.
Aries – life will continue to be a struggle.
Taurus – eyes are slowly being opened.
Gemini – talk and laugh.
Cancer – situations are heavy and there’s a desire to escape.
Leo – one step forward, three steps backward.
Virgo – don’t be scared.
Libra – the only way to gain control is to give up control.
Scorpio – wants to kick Aquarius in the butt.
Sagittarius - pop some popcorn and grab a beer and watch the movie of the rest of the Signs duking it out. It’s a tragedy AND a comedy!
Capricorn – go to your inner child and stay there for the weekend.
Aquarius – watch out for Scorpio’s revenge. It won’t be sweet.
Pisces – all you need to know is that Jupiter is in your sign and, finally, life is on the up-swing.
Moon in Scorpio Square Venus Conjunct Neptune
February 4, 2010 by junetheastrologerWhat does that mean?!? Venus conjunct Neptune can be a great time for doing things creatively. It can a real downer for romantic relationships in that Neptune can be creating its fog and Venus is so wacked out in love that Venus doesn’t see that Neptune is weaving a very deceptive web. This can be a time where you see your lover as your ideal, gorgeous, great conversationalist, and, worst of all, the illusion that your lover loves you. When this aspects passes the awakening can be brutal and cruel.
The Moon in Scorpio doesn’t help out the Venus conjunct Neptune aspect. Scorpio wants what it wants when it wants it and that square to Neptune will not show Scopio that what it wants is wrong for it. Not until the aspect passes in a few days/weeks. And, Scorpio, of course, will not believe it made the wrong choice and will hang on until Scorpio is sure all is lost.
What this time is great for is sensitive creativity done in an Aquarian, therefore airy, way. Whispy, outre, intellectual and something created for all to enjoy or ridicule because, as we know, Aquarius is 50 years ahead of its time so it will take the population a while to adjust to Aquarius’ creative work.
And, of course, with Mars retrograde it gets difficult to get up, go to the table and write, go to the easel and paint, go to the piano or guitar to write music. It’s like wading through quicksand.
Ground Control
February 3, 2010 by junetheastrologerThe planets are up in the heavens but on the ground there are control issues. No matter how your work it, how you try to dodge it or how you try to pretend, control is the issue. It’s that Saturn/Pluto thing that has been the sobering undercurrent.
Yesterday we had our fun. If you didn’t, that was your loss. For it was the one, light-hearted time of the Aquarian cycle. Now we’re on the darkside, the undercurrent and the subtlty of control – us controlling them, them controlling us.
“Who, me? Oh, no.” Think not? Try some self-reflection to see where you tried to manipulate (ohmigoodness, no!) and to see where you were manipulated. Yes, I know, Libra Moon … should be loving and caring … but the Libra Moon is conjunct Saturn in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn. Venus-ruled Libra is not above manipulation.
One way to handle these complicated aspects is to give everyone S P A C E !! That will be good for those of you who are clingers, too, in a weird kind of way.
Let’s Play in the Snow
February 2, 2010 by junetheastrologerWell, it looks like Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning. According to lore, that means we will have 6 more weeks of winter. It’s time to take that Jupiter in Pisces opposing that worry-wart Virgo Moon and go play in the snow. Use that Jupiter energy to enjoy the snow … and the cold. Go sledding, ski, build a snow fort and have a snowball fight or make angels in the snow. We can to satisfy the Virgo Moon energy by shoveling the snow and spreading salt on the sidewalks and streets or helping a neighbor who’s car is stuck in the snow. There’s much that can be done utilizing both the Jupiter and Moon’s energies. The revelation can be that the Virgo Moon can, indeed, enjoy herself today.
Those of you who aren’t lucky enough to live where there’s snow can enjoy the Jupiter and Moon aspects by simply appreciating that they live in an area that’s snow and cold free. Try to mix joy and work so that work doesn’t seem so burdensome.
While we know that the Saturn/Pluto square is still aspecting most of our charts, we can look at that aspect philosophically (Jupiter) and keep on doing what we’re doing, perhaps the transformations will be gentle with us.
Moon in Virgo, Jupiter in Pisces
February 1, 2010 by junetheastrologerThe Virgo Moon has us start the day off with a ‘have to get the work done’ kind of energy – which is good. It’s good because as the day wears on, we get more and more lazy and, more and more, want to play. The Virgo Moon keeps shaking her finger at us, urging us to get to work. Jupiter in Pisces says, ‘take a break and take a breath.’ Virgo Moon now stamps her foot. Jupiter in Pisces says, ‘nyah, nyah, nyah!’
Who wins this spat depends on how the Virgo Moon and Jupiter in Pisces aspects your chart. The Virgo Moon just might make this spat last until end of day tomorrow.
Mercury in Capricorn is also having a conversation with Jupiter in Pisces. Jupiter in Pisces is saying ‘think big, think bigger, think biggest.’ Mercury in Capricorn is saying, ‘be reasonable.’ The best way to handle this energy is to write an epic novel, compose a symphoney, write an opera like Wagner’s Ring, write a rock opera like Tommy, paint a mural on a wall – a big wall. You get the picture, be creative in a big, big way.
Do be aware, though, of the Mars in Leo retrograde because all of your big plans need the Mars energy to get started and can leave you just spinning your wheels, going nowhere.
Full Moon in Leo & Through the Signs
January 29, 2010 by junetheastrologerThe Full Moon will occur on 30 January at 1:18 a.m. EST. As we know, Full Moons are about balancing the energies of the Sun and the Moon. Since this is an Aquarius/Leo Full Moon, the balance that ’should’ be made is between humanity/ego, social network/friends, being alone in a crowd/being above the crowd. With Mars (retrograde) conjunct the Moon, it would be good for us to be aware of how polarizing this energy can be. With Venus conjunct the Sun, it would be good, also, for us to be aware of how dazzling our intellect is and assume that we are above it all. We need to be aware that, even though the aspect is a trine, Saturn can slap us down to earth (Pluto) swiftly, bruising our egos in the decline. If we remember the Aquarian Sun, the bruising won’t be too bad. If we get lost in the Leo Moon/Mars energy, the bruising will leave us shaken.
Reminder: I will be on Awake with Jake, Saturday morning, 30 January, at 10 a.m. CST. You can listen live on the internet at www.chicagoprogressivetalk.com or on the radio – AM – at 820 on the dial if you live or are in the Chicago area. If you’re up early on Saturday, Jake’s show starts at 7 a.m.
Let’s take a short walk through the signs:
Moon in Leo
January 29, 2010 by junetheastrologerOpen conflict? Oh, my! Yin Yang issues? The Moon is conjunct Mars and opposing the Sun. Ego conflicts all over the place. Drama Queens and Kings exerting their ‘right’ to be the center of attention. Arguments over who is more important-maybe even an agrument over what is more important. Whever ever you have Aquarius and Leo in your chart is where the battle is.
Brace yourself, though, the Full Moon is tomorrow, 30 January.
